Medibell is Looking You In The Eye

Medibell, a subsidiary of CMT Medical Technologies (Paris: CMD.PA), has begun its road show in preparation for its IPO in Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

Medibell designs and manufacturers imaging systems for ophthalmology applications, such as diagnosis of glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and damage caused by diabetic retinopathy.

One of the company's leading products is the PNM60, a wide angle retinal camera that minimizes the percentage of patients that can not be photographed due to pupil size. PNM60 handles the smallest pupil size (2mm diameter or less) and provides a 60ยบ field of view. The camera produces high-resolution images, expanding the diagnostic capabilities of conventional retinal cameras by creating piecemeal mosaic images.

Medibell was founded in 1999 and has received $7-8 million in financing to date, mostly from CMT Medical Technologies and it aims to break even by the end of 2007.
